It is easily an extra $10k to get a full-size in the same body-type with a comparable engine. There is a huge gap, and a lot of people just flat-out don’t need that extra capability.

This could be useful for homes with solar panels, but I think the real opportunity is that utilities in some areas charge different rates during different times of day, so you could potentially save ~20% by only consuming power from the grid at night and running off battery power during the day.
