The crazy part is that that was less acceleration than it would have been launching the car under its own power.

I am feeling pretty good about being a car enthusiast that is also an electrical engineer. My current project car is 30 years old and even that has required me to tap my electronics knowledge (and high-end soldering equipment at work). The good news is that electric motors are very reliable, fairly easy to rebuild,

Way of the future, or assholes who undermine a system that's been in place for years and play dirty with competitors?

Just based on specs the Frontier Crew is still a pretty good value. I guess it all depends on how the interior is, since the Frontier's is plastic-fantastic.

What would all those 0-60 times be with modern rubber? These cars were so traction limited it's hard to get a feel for just how fast they were.

It hasn't been that way since the 70's. Everyone uses net SAE horsepower now, which is taken at the crank with all accessories and factory exhaust.

I didn't expect to be so conflicted over a 911 at this price. I went NP, but just barely.

When you figure it out let me know what to call my Kia Rondo.
