It’s only wasted potential if you view it as a missed opportunity to do a Gotham Central show. Trying to do a prequel show about Gotham City when Bruce Wayne is still a kid is a terrible idea.

I hope they don’t put him on a diet before the next movie. Fat grumpy old man Godzilla was the best.
Is there a more endearing celebrity than Vin Diesel? The guy just always seems to be doing what he loves.
I’m gonna go ahead and call this one.
Agreed. Making it more family-friendly might have cut down on the dour self-importance that made parts of those movies such a slog.
That wasn’t animatronic.
Idunno, one could argue that Mike Myers’ makeup in that movie is one of the best cinematic adapatations of Lovecraftian horror that we’ve ever had.
Not only do Superman: The Animated Series and Justice League know how to do awesome battles that are still kid friendly, they also provide a more mature and nuanced depiction of the character than any Superman movie to date.
I can understand not liking Alan Moore, as he has been known to get so far up his own ass with his writing that he becomes nigh unreadable (hello, Black Dossier!) but even in those times, there’s clearly brilliance on display.
You are not alone. The Dark Knight Returns is astonishingly bad.

Pragmator, indeed.
Don't be sorry.

My main concern with live-action Mulan: Will they get James Hong to play the James Hong role?
I think Keanu would still be great for it. Yes, Spike is technically 27 on the show, but he has a world-weariness to him that would be more befitting an older actor. And it's not like Keanu actually looks significantly older than he did 20 years ago, anyway.
It's really uncanny how much Byung-hun Lee looks like Robert Patrick as the T-1000.
