I can see it now: Mikey gets tired of the other turtles co-0pting booyakasha, so he decides to come up with an even weirder catch phrase for himself.

Pixar is still high quality, but they do seem to have stagnated lately in the ideas department. I recall seeing a special where the Pixar guys talked about an epic brainstorming session where they came up with ideas for almost all of their movies up until Wall-E. I don't think it's a coincidence that their recent…
It's kind of silly to assume he was pandering to the geek crowd. Given the anti-intellectual, anti-science stance of most of his adversaries on the right, I think it's safe to say he already has that particular demographic locked down.
The show's been such a big hit, Nickelodeon's already renewed it for a second AND third season. Booyakasha!
I think Gaiman would agree with you to some extent. I've seen a video where he said he had let himself become a professional email answerer who wrote on the side. Judging by the sheer volume of work he's got coming out this year (new novel, couple of children's books, short story project with BlackBerry, A NEW…
I do like his style for the turtles. It looks like the design of the new cartoon was heavily influenced by his work.
I've been re-watching the 2003 series latey, and it is very good. And very dark. Probably a little too dark for a Saturday Morning children's cartoon, actually. I'm not sure how they were able to get away with some of the stuff they did on that show.
Can we chill with the arguing over how loyal this movie will be to the source material, especially when compared to the original cartoon? Yes, the cartoon was pretty much an "in name only" adaptation of the comic. And yes, it had a LOT of problems. But if we focus on that, then we're missing the bigger problem: …
Would you really put this past a guy who gave a Transformer testicles?
True, and this is probably the best strategy, but at the same time, a bad Turtles movie made by Michael Bay means we won't be getting a good movie made by someone else.
Haha, true. I grew up on the original cartoon, and loved it to death. Then I tried re-watching a few episodes as an adult and realized that sometimes it's better to remember the happiness a show gave you as a child than to remember the show for what it actually was.
I agree that the new cartoon is excellent. I've read/watched at least parts of every incarnation of the turtles, and this is the first time I can recall seeing the turtles actually act like teenagers.
Hollywood cameramen have made a lot of money out of making tiny actors look like big badass action stars. I think they can handle doing the same for Ms. Carano.
I don't mind this version of The Thing. The whole point of the character is that he's supposed to be a gruesome-looking hero, right? Well, this certainly fits with that character.
1. Can you blame Evans for wanting to pretend the Fantastic Four movies never happened?
Every night as I go to sleep.
I'm willing to bet they never even refer to him as "The Mandarin."
He didn't.
Yes, please.
He's there. His name isn't mentioned in the movie, but it is in the credits. And any comics fan worth their salt should have known it was Kirby's work from the second they saw it.
