Such a lazy, soulless delivery.
Such a lazy, soulless delivery.
The trailer before The Dark Knight Rises reveals a lot more about the Skyfall's plot. Looks like a good premise for a modern Bond flick.
"Nihilistic Olive-Drab Lantern"
If it were really like a comic book, Maggie would have to be contorted so that her butt was on display from that angle.
Earth One did deal a lot with Superman struggling to find a place in the world. I think it's a good starting point for a Superman story, as long as it doesn't spend forever wallowing in his existential angst and shows him develop into the great hero that he was meant to be.
Looks like the artist was trying to channel the cover art from Absolute All-Star Superman.
Wait, Neil Gaiman wrote a Superman story? Why have I not heard of this?
So how much of this movie is going to be done in slow motion? Because it already felt tedious after a one-minute trailer.
Gah, do you really have to draw comparisons to Before Watchmen? Watchmen was a closed story, one which renders any prequels/sequels completely pointless. Sandman is a sprawling universe (a collection of all possible universes, really), one which leaves plenty of room for further stories.
The new Dream Hunters book was adapted/illustrated by P. Craig Russell. This one clearly says JH Williams, the illustrator of the new Sandman book.
Pretty sure the giant robots/giant monsters genre spans a little farther than just Power Rangers.
There's no way in hell "Before Watchmen" is even close to being as entertaining as this review. Which is probably a backhanded compliment to this review.
You can't kill the Batman... but Bane might.
You just described my love of Futurama in much better words than I could.
Even sadder is the fact that it's based off a real dog named Hachiko. Because dogs are the one thing that are as great in real life as they are in cartoons.
The common thread in almost all of these? Fry's unwavering (to the point of stupidity) dedication to those he loves. I honestly think he's the best romantic hero in modern American culture.
This is indeed perfect casting. Will Arnett has a great Batman voice even when he's talking normally.
Well, we do have the DC Animated straight-to-DVD movies, which are pretty awesome.
We've already gotten that. In the Nolan movies.
Slightly more forgivable here in a short film with no special effects budget than in a 100-million-dollar JJ Abrams film.
