The bat logo inside of a bat logo makes me think this guy's getting his Christopher Nolan movies mixed up.

Whoa, why all the hate for Resurrection? It's far from a good movie, but it does have a few great moments. And Ron Perlman and Dominique Pinon. That's got to count for something, right?
I would've gone with Romeo and Juliet. I just can't bring myself to give a damn about people who die of their own stupidity. Crazy people killing each other out of sheer craziness, on the other hand, now that I can get behind.
Gorgeous. Neil deGrasse Tyson is the poet laureate of the universe.
It feels so weird seeing someone talk about a Pixar movie following in the footsteps of a Dreamworks movie, but that's pretty spot on.
I was just about to post something along these lines myself. And I'll go one step farther and say that the film's "massive dose of heart" felt like cheap, half-assed emotional manipulation to me.
And then there's the ending of The Sandman, which manages to combine almost all of these.
Not really sure why the Capitol citizens would be hard to pull off. Wasn't the fact that they looked ridiculous kind of the point?
"How are these books so popular with young girls?"
Well, Jennifer Lawrence has already shown how good she can be when playing an Appalachian girl going through tough circumstances in Winter's Bone.
That picture made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Followed by a feeling of depression because our country is nowhere near smart enough to elect someone like NdGT.
Zaphod
I have a feeling Spirited Away would have been a very different movie if this were the abandoned theme park where it was set.
Wait, is Perdido Street Station really the example you're going to use for well-done info dumps? Info dumps killed the pacing of that novel. Every time the action was cranking up, Mieville would bring it screeching to a halt so that he could explain in detail the hierarchy of bird people society.
Lovely. It Reminds me of the works of Sylvain Chomet.
Mike's lack of depth perception could also be a bit of a problem.
I wouldn't put too much stock in what Brad Pitt says. He's probably just trolling for an Oscar and hopes that pretending that he's retiring soon will make the voters more likely to give it to him.
I take it you didn't watch Ponyo?
Gaaaaaaaaah, so much fade to black!
That's because Batman Begins says all of its best quotes twice. Nolan was a big fan of the ironic echo in that one.
