Maybe I was just really starved for a new good dialogue tree RPG with Obsidian’s typically absurdist humor, but my only complaints with the game was the bad texture caching (Unreal Engine to blame) and it was really short.
Right, if this was after Fallout 3, then it’s great.
Thank you. I enjoyed playing this for a few days. I finished it in a week, and, honestly, I was glad when I got to the end. I played Fallout 3 for months, same with New Vegas. I’ll still pick up Fallout 4 and enjoy it. I have yet to finish RDR2, because I know how it has to end and I’m not ready for that yet. They all…
I really don’t see much problem with this. Sure it will be a problem when they use this information to track you in a whole bunch of other places, but they don’t have to do that. Catching people with fake IDs is good.
I have global entry so they already do this on entry to the country. As an aside, they upgraded the kiosks in the last couple of weeks and now you don’t have to scan your passport or enter fingerprints - the kiosk takes a picture and matches it your passport and flight details. And now you have to click to tel it to…
Can I ask , what's the allure of watching others stream
Yep, thus the continuing rains of squids and probably the video to Redford.
I’m fully on board with thinking that Veidt’s plan from the comics makes no sense, and would work for maybe 6 months. There would need to be followup steps...and I guess that recording a self-incriminating message for a future president makes as much sense as anything?
These contaminations aren’t new. What is new is we can now tell a Shiga toxin death from other causes of kidney failure, PLUS we have have the technology to quickly identify the weird strains of E. coli that produce the stuff, PLUS we have the routine and automatic generation of a rapidly searchable documentation…
I think the controversy with kojima and konami kinda fueled the curiosity and gave it more attention from people not familiar with kojima. Personally, I love pretty much all of his work(death stranding included), but he’s a very love it/hate it kind of guy.
Looking forward to 17 more Cybertruck posts this weekend. Funny how you guys can’t stop writing about something you dislike so strongly.
This makes me think of one of my favorite Steve Martin quotes: “I think that entertainment can aspire to art and can become art. But if you set out to make art you’re an idiot.”
Wait... I don’t dispute your points. That’s first and formost. Have you played it though? Im wondering how many people have played it whom are providing these opinions in the comment section. I have found it to be engaging in so many ways. Exactly what I have been missing in a game. It's one thing to criticize and…
I haven’t played the game. I’ve just been an interested onlooker at all the sheer tonage of digital ink spilled about it. With that said, I was speaking more about my experience with MGS as a franchise and the dissatisfaction I’ve felt with his abilities as a storyteller. I find him long winded, limited to surface…
Things release in public marketplaces are subject to criticism from everyone even the people that may not like the thing. If we are to take seriously the idea of games as art as a concept, there has to be room for all criticism to be acceptable.
Fair points and I agree. Awards may help sales but because companies will never base projections on whether a game will win an award or not, so we can’t really say that awards these juggernaught sales drivers that some people here think they are.
Personally I would hate to have to score Death Stranding with a number, I just beat it last night and I can see everyone’s point. You gave it a 5/10? I get you, the game is a weird boring self indulgent mess. You gave it a 9/10? Yeah totally, it was a mesmerizing experience unlike anything I’ve ever played. Good…
