Well that’s what makes ResetEra’s stance even more baffling. Banning reviews, previews etc of Cyberpunk serves absolutely no purpose other than sending people elsewhere to talk about it. It’s idiotic. They’re literally driving people away to cater to a very needy subset of people, not all of whom have even struggled

They would’ve been much better off separating the online components and slowly building a GTA world type map. A big online-only game, one island/state at a time at a time.

Funny though, that I spent A LOT of time in GTA IV multiplayer, made friends, had lots of sessions in-game with my irl friends. But I must’ve spent all ofa few hours in GTA V multiplayer doing bounties or dying to an attack chopper, bored to tears.

You’ll find that opinion isn’t uncommon. It’s full of stuff sure. But it’s likes when you stay awake too long and everything feels... thin. Like reality is a paper wall you could tear down. You can feel the simulation, I want to forget it.

Agreed, that was the absolute highlight for me. I didn’t last much longer because I could see that it was going to be the best it got. I don’t dispute that some people love it, I don’t mean that, I just can’t believe how far off the mark my opinions are. I found it offensive honestly, and not in some delicate

My experience exactly. Switch off friendly mode and then attack chopper homes in on me immediately. Put friendly mode on, wait what was I supposed to be doing again? Fuck it, switch friendly mode off again.

This showed as a static image initially for me, that was better. I’m not sure at this point I’d even manage an ironic faux-enthusiastic response. My eyes rolled, I moved along.

It’ll blow your mind again when they do it once more for the halfway refresh.

Which is weird because GTA IV had online and as a company they’ve had so damn long at the top to become a service shill. But regardless, here we finally are.

You can’t monetise single-player beyond that first sale. Games as service and all.

You know what, I'd usually agree but in the case of Rockstar, I'd prefer they just didn't make games altogether.

Oh yeah, in that sense I see what you’re saying. The barefaced gall of the ads right now, is all Amazon I guarantee you. But lots of the stuff would’ve eventually come up regardless. It’s just that you knew that they would’ve at least tried to do the right thing or make up for it appropriately. Now they don’t and they

Exactly. It’s an ad and it’s corporate appropriation sure but the idea is that trans-anything is possible, acceptable and even enviable in this reality. But that’s not enough? It needs to be unironic or not at all.

YES.

“well”? 🤔

I used to sell insurance for a while, inbound phones sales. It sucked, but one time I was on a call to a particularly tricky customer (questions about questions) and when I finally gave them their quote, they lost it. It was quite common for people to do this, they have an idea in their head that isn’t in sync with

Welcome to late-stage Gawker.

Two things are happening here. First, you’re opening your eyes to the “rat race” of console ownership. The real game is happening between the big 3 and the prize is your wallet, the only loser: you.

Demon Souls is some witchcraft. When I saw the gameplay trailers and the reviews I was blown away. Like Death Stranding before it, this is something different. This, is developers. Not hardware, that’s only a part of the story. Demon Souls is the baseline AND gold standard. It's witchcraft.

Yeah, it’s a real shame we have to wait for them to come out on PS Now. You know, after all the bugs have been squashed, DLC has come out, the inevitable remaster. Such a shame...
