You’re absolutely right, but at the end of the day WB had an almost finished superhero film starring a woman of color and they canceled it. There is no context where that changes.

Just to clear things up from speculation, this had nothing to do with the actress’ race. There’s a tax loophole that allows WBD to recoup pretty much all of their money by writing it off. Same reason why the Scoob sequel was canned. Even if Batgirl was starring a white girl, it would have been canned.

What the fuck is this? This is barely even a review, it’s just pointing out that there’s Chinese and Canadian elements in it - which would be one thing if it wasn’t so poorly written! Didn’t an A mean something once?

I found this almost as unsatisfying as the Lumberjack finale tbh. As mentioned in the comments, the whole “Dexter saves Harrison from the trauma of a life of killing” is answered by Harrison having to kill his father? Like that isn’t just as traumatic? Bizarre.
