It would only be dangerous following it at night if it was applied to a Toyota or Mazda CUV, because around me their owners never turn their lights on and run DRLs only.
I think this is old advice. I heard it in the 70s.
I feel smart because this is exactly what I’ve been doing for my 2+ decades driving after thinking it through one day.
The heater isn’t creating moisture. Anyway, this is how the defrost setting works on most cars.
Every single car does this automatically. It’s how defroster settings work.
You can buy several cars with double-glazed windows - for about $90K and up. S-Class Mercedes and BMW 7-series for starters, but I am sure there are a couple more.
How much are you willing to pay for a car?
In most modern cars*, turning the heater to defrost setting turns on the AC automatically.
RIP Saab
This has been mentioned before...Acura execs getting jealous that their individual cars “Legend” and “Integra” had better name recognition than “Acura” as a brand, so they renamed them the “RL” and “RSX” and then slowly killed whatever public goodwill they had. Their fix? To make their lineup more and more bland yet…
Bringing the X cars to market without finishing the product development or giving a single flying fuck about the quality control of the product. GM launched these cars to huge fanfare and demand, and with one this one product, pissed away a generation of goodwill and brand loyalty.
From Wikipedia:
GM letting Saab and Saturn wither on the vine, leading to their eventual death.
I guess for some clarification, I’m doing this mainly so I can move the bus around while I both work on converting it and upgrading my license. Who knows how long the conversion process may take, so it’s nice that the bus isn’t stuck where it is until it’s either finished enough or I upgrade my license class.
I am from New England (CT specifically). This is OUR secret. Thanks a lot for potentially ruining it for us. We’ve known about this forever. Sorry, but you stink.
