Last week, you guys were all cool with the government basically banning you from using the subway—a critical piece of infrastructure to go about your day—unless you consent to a search. Today, a long stakeout is not ok.

Real reason: if you tell them something in response to that question it’s admissible in court.
Okay, no disagreement. But it negates my opportunity for witty answers:
Ford dealership changed the oil on my Bronco for less than the local quickie-lube. And oil changes are every 10-12k miles now.
The challenger starts at 32 grand. This car isn’t 400 grand special.
Airlines made everything worse when they added bag fees and then piled on by selling basic economy on international flights.
Good.
I work in environmental science and land reclamation. I manage a federally-protected wildlife sanctuary. I agree that this sucks for the off-road community.
One thing to remember with these fragile ecosystems. Once damaged they are destroyed basically forever. So if you want to go tear up some trails find some farmland. I am saying this as someone that spends at least 1-2 weeks every year on trails on public land.
from what i’ve seen, you rip out the lock and there’s a tab sticking out that a USB-A plug fits perfectly on and you just twist it like you would a key and off you go. it’s not an electric or electronic or software hack, it’s just the most abundant and conveniently shaped thing to use to twist the tab with.
That image of the car charging is worrisome. Please make sure your car is in park before masturbating. This isn’t a Cronenberg movie.
^ This guy camping in the left lane not allowing anyone to pass and “brake checking” while spending time watching for reactions in the rear view instead of using the passing lane to pass.
This isn’t so much a violation as it is an annoyance. I’m not sure if this is common everywhere, but I often run into situations at four way stops where I’m clearly not the first person there, and the other person will sit there and then wave me through. Another is a person stopping to let me turn left in heavier…
Counterpoint:
Sliders worked well on the Mazda5, and that was not an enormous vehicle. It’s likely the most perfectly sized vehicle of all time.
And I’ve seen car drivers run cyclists off the road, brake check them, park on marked cycling lanes, etc., etc., etc. The biggest thing I’ve had to put up with is drivers screaming about how cyclists expect to be treated as equals on the road while not staying perfectly within the strictures of that state’s motor…
Yeah I have never worked anywhere with an actual shower.
People who bike to work will also shower at work when they get there. This argument gets posted a lot but really it never happens like that. If your office doesn’t have shower facilities that makes sense (I used to do a hobo shower in a single-person bathroom at an old job after biking in), but that is also another…
Fair, but I live in Texas, so for like 8 months of the year it’s a hard pass lol. Plus, at least in my case, it wouldn’t really work since I stop to pick up a few things on the way to work in the morning that wouldn’t be super bike friendly.
