Yes, there was differential treatment. Two players were on the court, one was keeping her cool and playing the match of her life. The other was melting down because she was getting her ass kicked.

You left off the part that Serena did what her coach signaled her to do, and it worked. He signaled to go in, she did, and put Osaka in a spot of bother.

Find an example of a male player straight-up accusing the chair of cheating for their opponent, after having received two prior code violations.

There’s a lot of things you can say to an umpire. That was a terrible call, how can you make that call, are you sure about that. Those get said all the time without penalty.
