I grew up pretty poor and so had to learn to do all my own wrenching, or not drive at all. My dad and uncle were both mechanics, so I had good resources.

So glad to see a better version of this badge. The old one with the oddly photographic torch gave the graphic designer in me a bit of an eye twitch.

Totally. All standard (i.e. not Countryman/Paceman) Mini's are dynamically satisfying despite their ever-increasing wasitline.

Lightweight sodium chassis!

Can you not just swap the front clip on a USDM Celica?

The best (worst) part about the Mini Coupe is that it's heavier than the regular hatchback, all while being 100% less practical.

A parking brake that looks nothing like a parking brake?

File this to lies, errors, and omissions:

BMW is playing the same game with Mini that Porsche plays with their lineup. The cars aren't built to be the best they can be, they're built to fill spots in a spreadsheet and detuned accordingly.

Patreon is pretty cool from the end-user perspective, too. I support several creators on there (you among them, of course) and the beauty of it all is you get to pick your level of support. That's something that must be agonizing from your end - I know it must have been hard for /DRIVE to pick 3.99/mo, knowing full

Look at all the facts you can fabricate!

The new Z06 is a heavy car and it might come at a time when heavy cars are on their way out. Would you rather drive a heavy car with big power or a light car with better power to weight?

Uggh, how I miss climate control. At the very least they should give you a temperature setting in °F instead of the stupid dial. It sucks playing too hot/too cold on a long drive.

Agree, the power isn't the problem really. Mine feels like it has plenty of torque down low although I don't tow anything. The fuel economy is the problem.

Ford! Why you no 3 door?

You're not kidding about the Taco feeling ancient inside. I sometimes wonder if some of the bits in mine came from the same molds as the pieces in my old 95 model year Toyota.

I don't think they're asking you to make a new logo. We all probably like the spirit of the current one. It just needs "remastered." I remember when some unfortunate soul from Ferrari asked you guys to take the Ferrari badge off P 4/5 C, and a few days later the SCG badge was on it and it hasn't really changed

Only slower and with less power, so it doesn't eat into BMW sales. Just like the new JCW. Ugh...

Duh, it can't be faster than any BMW models that people will cross shop. As if people cross shop a Mini and a BMW.
