The GT500 gets a bad rap from folks who haven't experienced it.

Oh I'm well aware of the soft lighting required to get great stills that give you a sharp, 3D appearance that highlights body lines. What I'm asking is at these press events, where you run the gamut between high end DSLR's and cameraphones in the hands of journos, why they don't seem to give a shit.

Why is it that these indoor reveals are almost always poorly but brightly lit? You can't even tell where the body lines are in these photos and it's not the car's fault, it's the shitty lighting making them disappear.

Any car with high performance summer tires.

AHHHHHH... AM I DRIVING?

I hate to be a downer and I'm not going to win any fans by saying this, but I've been test driving a ton of cheap sports cars lately because I've been looking to get out of my JCW and into something else cheaper next spring/summer, so I can afford to have a newer second vehicle. Among the many cars I've taken for a

I've noticed a common thread among people who drive a lot in snow but say they don't need snow tires: they've never owned snow tires.

1992 Tempo GLS V6 Coupe with optional 5-speed manual. For some reason, Ford decided to shoehorn the Vulcan 3.0L V6 from the other vehicles in it's lineup (Ranger, Probe, Taurus, Aerostar) into it's smallish economy car. The third-pedal-equipped version was good for a mid 7 second 0-60 sprint, not bad for '92. The

Easy, because you're making an argument for turbocharged engines by saying "if 14 psi air is good for us then it's decent for our engines." That is not an argument for turbocharging, it's an argument against it - unless you don't understand how they work.

I don't think we're agreeing. Naturally aspirated engines are fed with 14 psi air in a quite similar way to humans. If not for that they wouldn't work. Naturally aspirated engines and humans suffer from reduced performance at high altitude for the same reason.

Perhaps you missed my (poorly inferred?) point: engines have access to the same 14 psi air we do.

Wrong. We exist in equilibrium with our environment. Yes, the air around us is pressurized, but guess what? So is the air in your flat tire when you put a gauge to it and get a zero reading.

Uh, awesome ones do. My '11 JCW does, and so does my buddy's '12 GT500.

Behind Chuck Norris' beard is another fist. What's behind Aaron's beard?

How do you feel about the changes MINI/BMW have made for the next refresh? The second gen was only a minor departure from the first, but the third gen seems to be pretty polarizing.

Hnnnng!

Let's think this through logically.

Ugh, the interior of that car in no way matches the exceedingly beautiful exterior. I mean, it could be the interior from a Ford.

Hah! Many many moons ago, I owned a early 90's Oldsmobile with your superior "throttle cable." I got to find out that it stuck open the first time I used the cruise control - also cable driven. But I'm not a retard, so I shifted the engine into neutral, pulled over, shut off the engine, and fixed the problem with
