You downplayed Dredd to his teeny tiny movie pads, and you missed out Johnny Alpha, who can easily give him a run for his money.

@wezelboy: Yes, I'm a little curious as to why this is "News." It's a video of an older game (not that old mind you) with someone doing something that's pretty standard in that game (Crazy long base jump fail happens about once every 20 minutes). So what's interesting or amusing or awesome about it?

Beware using the word "Table" in this context - it means opposite things on the opposing sides of the Atlantic (Causing me to believe that NASA had just raised the idea, rather than buried it) ;)

@MaWeiTao: For me the greatest was the Namco NegCon. I'd buy one in a heartbeat if they updated it for the current generation.

Well, since I had Photoshop open I tried the Imaginary colours test with red on one layer and green on a second hidden layer which I revealed after staring at the red for 30 seconds. The result was pretty interesting.

@bob_d: Yes, with the Exception of The News, Top Gear and the occasional Doctor Who finding anything from the BBC on BBCA is a little like hoping to see a music Video on MTV or VH1.

@jianna: Given his age when I read the book (He was about right at the time), I always pictured Dirk as Alexei Sayle in a hat.

@Edward Yee: "Pay no attention to the sack behind the columns!"

@Hypnosifl: I responded to that one too (it is an optical illusion; it's incorrect to say the spheres are visually the same size, but that still doesn't mean the brain is processing their respective sizes correctly) :)

@guspaz: I think the actual difference (Which is very small - on this monitor, at this res less than 1mm) is less than the apparent difference, as such it's still a valid illusion.

@Hypnosifl: This version hurts my head - They look different sizes for a fraction of a second and they my brain tries to correct it (Which is weird) - the two versions above fool my brain quite effective though. (There sphere's at top are a variation I believe)

Pretty much any British comic ever, exceptions being things from the Eagle, D.C.Thompson's stuff (The Beano etc) and Bunty.

@Greetings-I-come-from-afar: "Users outside the UK will be able to purchase and download it on the same date – details will be put on the Doctor Who website."

@Dusty Duster: No, it just means it's not extraterrestrial (barring it's arrival by meteor or something). "Alien" does not always equate to "From OUTER SPAAAAACE". :)

"The burn out factor seems almost inevitable, even with the original comic book outline"

@Arken: He speaketh of the Hummer.

Cool article. But Charlie, I seem to recall that Independence Day was predominantly practical, with CG used mostly for compositing (I don't think fire was easy to do back then). They got the wall of fire effect by placing the miniature streets on one end, placing the camera looking down it and placing "Go boom bags"

@Hotscot: Yeah, he uses both Photoshop and Illustrator pretty extensively :)
