to be “not boring”, one does not have to necessarily be “exciting”, one can be many things; interesting, thoughtful, inquisitive, passionate, etc....
Yeah, it raises an interesting question, and I’m sure this will keep coming up with more and more “service” games in the future. But if you bought vanilla Destiny 2 on PC (which came out in late October), you had less than a month and a half with this stuff before it locked you out. That’s kinda nuts.
As one of the writers affected by the layoffs, this is totally grade a classy, Luke. Lots of these talented individuals are still looking for the next gig and this can only be helpful. Very cool of you!
Don’t forget, December is when everyone at bungie goes on vacation til mid-January. So it sounds like after the Dawning update, we’re gonna get nothing for a month.
This storm has been ongoing for 3 plus years... Destiny, with a few exceptions, has been one dropped ball and missed opportunity after another. People are just sick and tired of hearing about the game they might get one day...
Look, there’s nothing wrong with you being happy with where the game is at. We’re all thrilled for you.
There will always be overly vocal naysayers and apologists on the outside ends, but it’s definitely not a 1 or 0 kind of thing for many, if not most, players. Folks were rightly outraged at the sleazy practices (that had to be uncovered by meticulous number-crunching) but still enjoy the game for its good and fun…
Probably something to do with hiding xp slowdown then saying they’d fixed it, when they hadn’t.
It is really sad when you put them next to Digital Extremes (Warframe) which is much smaller team, practically indie if you think about it as it is self-published, but their communitaction with players is top notch - with frequent long dev-streams revealing the future of the game, new designs, future features etc,…
Lol, there’s always one in anything related to D2. Destiny fan makes valid point about how Bungo is a piece of shit right now, que irate D2 apologist trying to talk about how amazing D2Y1 is vs D1Y1. I mean it’s not like Bungo had almost 2 full years to have the dev team and live team communicate about what the live…
I mean, they seemed to have been straight up lying to players about their xp gains with the intent to manipulate players into dropping more cash on their gambling system.
dude, chill. Go play Destiny instead of trying to defend it to everyone. Bungie got ya, its ok.
The decision to limit the “luminous engram” max scaling on alt characters of the same class was up there. That was a huge red flag for me about how confident they were in the lasting appeal of their endgame content.
Same here, it’s a shame they shit the bed so bad with this game. I try to avoid reading about Destiny bc I feel an immense sense of disappointment every time I come across news about it.
Too little too late for Destiny 2. As a huuuuuge fan of D1 with lots of fond memories and merch, I’ve entirely stopped playing D2. The expansion sounds meager, the “raid lair” disappointing, and the overall tenor of the game depressing.
Come on Luke, how could you endorse somthing so heinous?!
“He’s not using any outside (...) hardware to gain competitive advantage.”
You do realize that is EXACTLY what he is doing, right? The items in the lootboxes for BF2 do give you competitive advantage. And the robot IS hardware, by definition.
I endorse cheating on this bs game. Go robots!
