Now you're just as bad as the people whining about women in their vidya. It's a gdamm game, calm down

Pretty much. In both sides there are people than seem incapable of not getting outraged for pretty much anything.

They were intolerant of Hitler. He got jailed. He was only “tolerated” because he had a lot of followers and used violence against opponents. Also he was seen as a better alternative to the communists among a number of reasons/factors.

Believe me, BOTH sides are “too easily offended and triggered”. Let’s not forget that this is also the same set of sites that 2 weeks ago, had multiple articles complaining about not feeling right about playing the new Spider-Man game because he helps the police do their job.

Don’t like it don’t play it isn’t a good answer though. That’s being an asshole to your customer. “Don’t like it? Sorry you feel that way but we must appeal to our entire fan base” would have been much better. Having a moderator that doesn’t work in PR handle this was a dumb idea. They could even challenge people to

Except you would be wrong, you intentionally ignored the reason why fans are upset and dismiss their grievances. typical dismissive SJW attitude.

Man, I’m all in on CA’s response to this. I mean, ya, they need the game to sell and all that, but I’m here for the “don’t like it, don’t play it” answer.

Get Woke, Go Broke. It doesn’t pay to attack your customers. Most of them just want the games without the politics.

Yeah, enough with this generation and it’s failure to cope with virtually anything. Get angry and start shooting is all they do.

Are you that uneducated? There is way worse gun violence in a lot of other countries every other day, some that have even the strictest gun laws in the world.

You won’t do anything about it aside from bitching online

Sure. Go look at Chicago where guns are banned. They’re setting records all the time now for daily murders. The problem isn’t guns being legal or illegal.

Sure, I get what the author was trying to do, but I also think that they went about it in a way that would have elicited a groan in freshman philosophy. Let me offer an alternative solution that was unexplored in the article:

Read messages and come across ones that may genuinely help amongst a bunch of goofy messages? Or ignore all messages for fear of finding one that triggers you in real life because of how over sensitive you are? Clearly the second one. What a ridiculous mindset. I'd hate to have the perspective and mindset of someone

Sincerely the article goes completely over the board... The fun part of those is actually being able to subvert the system and use it as it is NOT intended. Besides, we should stop demonizing sexualization. It exists for both genders, in different ways (just look it up, I’m not spewing BS), and is freaking natural. As

Or maybe... just maybe... it doesn’t have anything to do with sexism and chauvinism.

Maybe it’s just a joke - a joke that’s only deemed offensive because of how uptight and sensitive our society has become.

Except literally nobody is considering whether or not a virtual woman in Dark Souls is worth having sex with. It’s just a joke and it doesn’t go further than that. Maybe instead of jumping to the comments and defending your writers bad article consider that maybe not every little thing  or joke is an attack against an

I don’t have any data to back it up of course, but my general impression is a lot of these messages originate from younger/immature gamers. So to see the writer give it such serious attention so long after the fact makes the article fall a bit short in my opinion.

I truly, honestly feel sorry for you if you read these kinds of messages, and have that reaction.

This situation isn’t even really that bad. It’s pretty damn tame for being an “irredeemable truth.” You’re over exaggerating this.
