If you can’t get cable or fiber, you’re probably not getting 5G anytime soon. The small cells required for 5G have very limited range and I don’t see carriers initially investing billions to cover the 20% of the population living in rural areas.  Eventually, it’ll happen for almost everyone in the same way as 4G now…
