Nope. I would define cancel culture as a public campaign to harm an individual because of the perception that they said or did something that one group disagrees with.

Yeah, that’s fair. Generally there is no ideal time to strike.
Have you actually looked at the current compensation package the WGA has? It’s pretty generous. The 2020 agreement just provided it’s final pay increase 3 months ago. The minimum pay for a story outline for a non network 15 minute segment is $3645. If they write the teleplay it’s $9099. That’s hardly starvation wages.…
I said the opposite of that. I said that the pileups happen on both sides. I swear, every interaction I’ve ever had with you it seems like you just can’t read. You have a kneejerk reaction to one thing you see that you don’t like and ignore the rest of what I say. And most of your points don’t even make sense.
Weed isn’t a performance enhancing drug. It makes no sense for them to test for it in sports.
What I said was true. If you can’t see that I don’t think I’m the stupid one.
If you actually knew anything about the war you’d understand that the comparison you made is nonsense.
Hey, someone that actually understands what I said.
I think you’re working from a very different definition of cancel culture than I am.
Nah, I don’t buy that. Those so called standards are moving targets. They change constantly because they’re driven by online mobs.
I agree with that. I’m using “left” in a colloquial sense. I’m an old fashioned dyed in the wool lefty. A card carrying NDP member (Canada’s left wing party) who has campaigned for them and I’ve never voted conservative in my life. Yet because I don’t agree 100% with absolutely every talking point of the modern “left”…
I said the policy was bullshit and I presume they can tell if someone who is white changes their hair colour the same way they would for someone who is black. You know, by looking at them and not having the memory of a goldfish.
I’m definitely looking forward to being trapped in a field in the middle of nowhere that’s filled with other people’s excrement while eating cheese sandwiches and listening to a Ja Rule cover artist. And it will only cost several thousand dollars.
This is a reasonable limit on access to firearms and is actually one that does exist in some forms in my country. But Canada has much more restrictive gun laws in general than the US.
Sure. You could say the same for the left as well. Especially since they seem much more ready to “eat their own” as it were. There are several examples of left wing people being “cancelled” by other left wing people, but that isn’t something that happens as much on the right.
Yeah. I said that both sides participate in it. I was just making the point that the people on the right don’t pretend cancel culture isn’t real like a lot of people on the left do. Which makes no sense, since people on the left are being cancelled.
No. The businesses didn’t force a strike. The workers voted to strike. No one but themselves are keeping the strike going. They can unilaterally end the strike, they are literally the only side that can.
I’m not sure what you mean by that but there are plenty of examples of right wing people trying to cancel both celebrities and normal people. Kathy Griffin says her career is done. James Gunn was cancelled for a while. The woman who gave the finger to Trump’s motorcade lost her job. All of those “cancellations” were…
Grabbing someones tits and calling them the heart of Georgia.
Yeah. I don’t get why people pretend it doesn’t exist. They chose to selectively frame it around celebrities who lose one or two contracts and then just keep working so they can disingenuously pretend it’s not real. That doesn’t make any sense since there are tons of examples of regular people who have been mobbed…
