The implication is that the sperm donor was likely more involved either with the couple, or with the child than what the article states and that may have been a factor in the ruling. I suspect that there is more to the ruling than the single quote provided from the judge. I’d be more likely to buy that nothing was

Yes they absolutely can lose parental rights if they are abusive. The bar set for losing them is just very high, but it is possible.

Clearly there’s more going on here than what is being stated. She moved in with the sperm donor after the fact. It seems a lot is being left out to make the case this is solely about LGBT parental rights, when it probably isn’t.

That’s you takeaway from what I said? I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic or just completely misunderstood what I said.

The proliferation of social media and certain phone apps is a big part of this problem. The changing attitude towards sex is also a big part of it.

It was a superfluous tangent that didn’t really have any place in the main plot and I would say the same thing if it was a hetero couple. It felt like something showhorned in for the sake of representation and would have been better as a bonus episode after the main season was complete, similar to how The Sandman did

Not putting a sunset clause on it doesn’t mean it isn’t meant to be temporary. If you follow the logic that there is no good evidence to support current treatments for minors, which is true and is well reflected in other countries pulling back from providing the treatments to minors. Then it doesn’t make sense to

I’m not sure how science can determine that a social construct is a spectrum. That’s not science. Saying that is science is like saying a study that shows people who live in the UK prefer to wear the colour purple more than people in the US is science.

So buy a AAA game or buy a bunch of shovelware. I’m pretty sure I know how most people would go.

So who are these trans people who have killed themselves because of something Rowling said? Or people like Rowling? What does that mean exactly? Massively successful female authors?

So what he’s really saying is that he wants his craft and abilities to stand on their own merit without attaching his blackness to it. That sounds completely reasonable.

Bros failed for three reasons. It wasn’t that good, the marketing for it left out any audience that wasn’t LGBT, and the market for a movie thats whole premise is based on LGBT in jokes is tiny.

They aren’t the same thing though. They combine elements of both religions and therefore they are distinct from both groups. The central doctrine they follow is significantly different than all denominations of Christianity. Saying their the same is just a false statement.

You even quoted my comment saying it was about the sex work... but okay.

It seems really strange to frame what her son knows about sex work and periods, i.e things his mother told him about those things, is more comprehensive than what most men know. That is clearly a ridiculous thing to say.

I don’t buy it at all. There’s zero chance that the neighbours and sheriff’s office are running a multi year conspiracy to steal their land. It’s not possible for there to be no police reports if they’ve filed six restraining orders. The whole thing reeks of being a lie.

I would assume there is a hypothetical limit to which someone could be kept in that state to act as a surrogate, not based on ethical reasons, but on purely physical ones.

The argument about whether or not a person has updated their consent according to a change of heart being an issue is pretty much irrelevant given the situation. The same thing could be said for regular organ donation. It’s incumbent on the donor to change their donation status. You’re making an argument based on an

I’m at a loss as to why the mother pumping and providing breast milk to be used by the father wouldn’t be an option, which makes me believe that something is missing from this story.

This is pretty bad advice. Presuming you aren’t using abortion pills as a primary form of birth control, stockpiling any medication for long term use is a bad idea. All medications expire and have added risks after expiry.
