It's a pretty big leap from "some webpage SAYS this disc is an ascii code that translates to ______" to "this has been proven to be an ascii code that says______"

OK, but is J.K. Simmons' character more like:

That's a much better explanation, and one I hadn't thought of. Well done!

So you think it's less likely that a person or persons unknown trampled the wheat than that an alien being used a cosmic dot-matrix printer to create an image exactly like a sterotypical grey alien?

hard to believe it is that far behind the volcano AND that it is moving so fast as to clear the scene in five or six frames of video. I'm not saying it is aliens, but I am don't think that's a plane.

the video is poor, but that object/light seemed awfully low and close to an active volcano to be an airplane. Wouldn't commercial flights be routed away from such an area?

Did I also just see Ironman get kneed in the balls?

Did I just see Ironman rip some guy's head off?

I think we can presume that Supes just didn't stand around watching his sneeze/shockwave propagate through space until it destroyed the very fabric of spacetime.

I think a much cooler power would be to have Superman poop starship fuel.

The pod was open. we could see into it. I thought the pod was a "meditation chamber" and not some kind of medical bay. I'm sure Hasbro labelled it as such in some playset they sold way back when...

seconded. I don't see W as a villain, and I think it's funny and sad that so many people still can't let it go.

Hardly. Stuff you would be outraged by is passed by committees in every legislature in the country. It is no more or less outrageous than it is when it happens elsewhere.

He takes his own mask off in Empire Strikes Back. There is a scene where General Veers comes to report to him and we see the back of Vader's head as his helmet is lowered back into place.

This bill passed a committee, not the general assembly of the legislature. I don't see any reason for outrage as yet. A lot of things get voted on just so that legislators can go back to their districts and claim to have supported something they think their constituents would like.

I think watching that just gave me a seizure, to be honest.

Wonderful art work in all examples.

Wasn't it just a couple of weeks ago we were chastised against associating human motivations and values to animal behaviors?

I was once invited to dinner at a co-worker's home. She had a horror movie playing that showed, at one point, a man looking in a mirror and using a razor to peel his own face off. I was shocked that her three and four-year old children were in the room and watching this.

so you're saying that apples and oranges aren't comparable?
