Really? My takeaway is that I need to stay inside where it’s safe.

See, you missed the part where white people can’t be criminals. White people can’t be immigrants, either. They’re “expats” or other similarly flattering terms.
Jesus Christ... I just had to scroll back up to the top to see what you meant. It looks like he’s in the process of being hastily evicted. Or he’s trying to destroy evidence. Yeah, it’s a mess even by my extremely lax, disorganized standards.
*too early, even. Damn time limit for edits...
Agree and disagree. I mean, I don’t think any of it quite matches the highs of Always Sunny, but I think all their solo stuff so far has been at least pretty good (with The Mick occasionally hitting “pretty great”). It’s far to early to pass definitive judgement on A.P. Bio, but even there I already see some decent…
Oh god, I’m glad I’m not the only one who laughed way too hard at that fight scene. Part of me was like, “I shouldn’t enjoy watching a grown man beating the shit out of teenage girls.” But another part of me was all, “Sure, but they’re giving at least as well as they’re receiving.”
Jonghyun’s recent suicide has made it an awful lot harder to ignore.
If it helps you understand the large membership, you have to keep in mind that Korea has mandatory military service, usually for 2-year stints. Thus, in order for any boy-band to have any longevity at all, a large roster is vital so they can stagger their enlistments and keep the band at performing strength.
And that comparison is even accurate down to the control over their sex lives! One of the most recent “major scandals” in the K-Pop world was when Sungmin of Super Junior got married. They way the fans (and management) reacted, you’d think he’d murdered someone. And that’s someone who wasn’t even one of the most…
Upon following the provided link, I now see that’s essentially what they’re suggesting. The 3rd option they suggest, soaking in a bleach solution, is a terrible idea, as sodium hypochlorite is one of the absolute most hazardous products in people’s homes.
“Disinfecting sponges”? You cannot disinfect a porous material. You can treat it with a disinfectant or sanitizing agent, but you cannot fully disinfect anything but a solid, non-porous material by any means other than heat-treatment. I.e. unless you’re baking your sponges, you ain’t disinfecting them.
I kinda hate to say it, but I hope if they go through with this they drop Jane Fonda. Otherwise, her presence will make conservatives automatically opposed to this. I mean, even more than they would automatically be opposed to anything “feminist.”
*squeeeeeee* Ahem. Yes, this looks quite entertaining. Quite.
Sure, but even from an editor’s standpoint, all Randall could have done here would be to add a [sic]. Failing to do so in a huge block of text there is hardly a sin. Don’t get me wrong, I love to nitpick and poke fun at AVC’s copy-editing lapses as much as the next guy. I just don’t see this as one of those instances.
That looks like a copy-paste from the book, so direct your ire at the book’s copy-editor, not at Randall or the AVC in this instance.
On the other hand, though, I suspect Siobhan is far more common. I know I first encountered (and learned to pronounce) that name at least a decade or two before Saoirse.
I never said I wasn’t troubled by those monopolies!
Absolutely. Bernie’s already been excommunicated for not being a “True Progressive.”
Yeah, and you dipshits clinging to your Nirvana Fallacy are exactly why we’re stuck with Trump right now. The Perfect is the enemy of the Good. Fuck off your high horse and accept reality. There is no perfect candidate who will bring about a utopian society. Waiting for that messianic myth will only bring about more…
I hate to ask this of you, but... have you not been paying attention? There’s a new think-piece on the subject roughly every other week. It’s frankly pretty troubling, even if you, like me, are a fan of most of their recent output. To specifically answer your question, though: with their recent and currently-pending…
