I keep wondering if “doesn’t have the DNA for it” is partially referencing how fucking openly racist this country has become. I mean, no offense, but she’s right. There’s no way this country will elect another person of color for a long time. Even the Democrats would be scared of endorsing one, because many are afraid

...he’s pointing out that it’s still being made to be about the white woman. He’s pointing out a problem with society, not necessarily with your article.

As another certified “old,” who loves CostCo for being a (comparatively) ethical company, I absolutely despise shopping there. First, because it’s too damn crowded. I dislike crowds, and in particular I hate crowded parking lots. I’m the kind of guy who takes the first parking spot he can find, even if it’s the

I’m honestly surprised it’s taken this long. The one in my town has been a ghost...store for almost 20 years.

I’ve mentioned this before, but Red Dawn was one of my favorite movies right up until the precise moment I discovered it wasn’t meant as a joke.

Which is ironic, since toxic masculinity itself tends to prevent successful relationships.

From the point of view of an Evangelical, you would think that being famous for a song about being a pimp would be bad enough. It should be bad enough.

I would have sworn it was more than that, probably because of their real ages, as you noted.

And that’s saying nothing of the creepy age difference between the two. I guarantee you they didn’t apply 1/2 age + 7 to that shit.

...teacher?

Jesus... at least the end of democracy is seeing us provided with some high quality bread and circuses. Quality TV sure makes the end of existence a lot more palatable.

Ooooh, that is good news!

I’m pretty partial to “No, if I know Stu, this was probably the way he wanted to go. Disembowelled by werewolves. Blood and guts splayed onto the trees. His face torn to shreds. I hope I made you feel better.”

Seems to me that vegans/vegetarians break down pretty evenly between moralists and nutritionists (i.e. people who refrain for moral reasons and people who refrain for health reasons). In those cases, it seems moralists should ask, to be safe. Nutritionists, though, probably shouldn’t be ordering fries in the first

Wrong headed it may be, but if RBG dies during Trump’s presidency, it will literally mean the end of democracy in this country. She’s essentially Atlas.

While I’m normally opposed to “thoughts and prayers,” I’m in complete agreement this time, since there’s literally nothing else we can do, short of working together to build an unstoppable cyborg body for her. But now that I think of it...

For once I’m actually on Delta’s side here. Seems like the right move, made in almost exactly the right way.

1) Totally not a woman. 2) No, not all men. Just ones like Mark Wahlberg, whose shittiness is well documented.

She’s known for a heck of a lot more than that. Honestly, I suspect that she’d be a lot better known if she simply had a more unique name. She’s very recognizable, she just lacks the name recognition.

My argument is that I live in Montana, which, unless something has changed recently, has long held the highest per-capita DUIs. The current laws haven’t helped, so I’m not sure how tightening them will. I dunno, maybe it’s a different story in states that actually, you know, enforce the laws. (Note: this comment is a
