Fair point. In case you’re legitimately asking that question of me, though, and not just pointing out the absurdity of thinking that scum would make less than non-scum, I will clarify that I didn’t actually think you were asking who was a better person, but that I simply took the opportunity to point out what a

Yeah, sadly the common perception that rapists/molesters are treated harshly in prison is an utter myth, but the good news is this son of a bitch has already shown himself to be a total snowflake, so he’s very likely to pull an Ariel Castro. Well... good news from a “don’t burden the world with your presence any

Value as human beings, or box-office name-recognition value? For the former, I’d say 1000-to-1 in Williams’ favor. For the latter, maybe 1.5-to-1 in Wahlberg’s favor, 2-to-1 at most.

Or, if one wants a more textbook definition of “one hit wonder,” I give you “Bing Bing” by Crayon Pop (with “Bar Bar Bar” having been their “hit”).

Given the nebulous definitions of “one hit wonder” being used here, I’ll throw in “City of Refuge” by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, as you could argue that “Red Right Hand” is their one hit. Honestly, though, as they’re one of my favorite bands, it’s difficult for me to pick just one favorite. I’m currently in love

Pshhh, spoken like someone who’s never watched Spongebob. Plankton is straight up terrifying, man!

It amuses me that you list pedophilia and satanism in the same sentence as if they’re on the same level of awfulness.

You’re right that it has that connotation. It’s unfortunate and undeserved, however. I mean, around here, our most blatant idealist is recognitions for Pete’s sake! Being an idealist is not really a good thing. I’m a pragmatist, and though I share a lot of the same ideals as people like recognitions, I try to temper

I get what you’re saying, but I’d argue that the end result of someone being a theoretical “pragmatic idealist” is that they’re neither a pragmatist nor an idealist, but rather someone who falls neatly in the middle. Simply having ideals isn’t enough to qualify one as an idealist. An idealist is one who clings to

“Pragmatic idealist” sounds like is the kind of meaningless contradiction in terms that’d get used by a cold-reader or online personality test. Pragmatism and idealism are literally polar opposites. Rest of the article is fine, that line just bugged me.

Dude... it doesn’t take someone of recognitions’ level of self-righteousness to call you out for defending Louis CK and bashing a woman comedian.

Spoken like someone whose only exposure to “kids’ movies” is shit like the Chipmunks. Real “kids’ movies” have long tackled dark subject matter.

Not sure why Leia Poppins is any more preposterous than any other display of Force powers in the series. Also, there was plenty of reason for the lack of communication. I agree that it was somewhat dumb, but I disagree that it was bad writing or a plot hole or anything like that.

Would have made for an interesting dynamic to have a character who is “allergic” to her own powers. But then again, I’m pretty sure they’ve explored that before to some degree.

Honestly glad they didn’t because Vampi-lee was amazing in the Hellcat comics. That was actually the only exposure I had to her as a vampire, and that series had me wondering why everyone was so opposed to her being a vampire.

Late to this, and also not technically caught up, yet, but I’m glad to see I’m not alone in my hatred for Andy. I actually dislike both Strucker kids, but at least the girl (whose name completely eludes me at the moment) has some redeeming qualities. Andy just deserves to be kicked out a 50th floor window.

I think the real problem with Spike is that it alienated far more than 50% of potential viewers. I’m a red-blooded dude who appreciates tits, ass, and ‘splosions as much as the next guy, but even I always thought Spike seemed to be trying too hard. Or not nearly hard enough, I dunno. Kinda like they’re the television

Yeah, she’s a weird one for me. On paper, I shouldn’t care for her at all: cute, bubbly blonde is usually anathema to me. But somehow she manages to strike so many of the right chords of decency, cleverness, and humor, that I just can’t help but smile whenever I see/hear/read her. She’s another that’s gonna really

Either that, or they’d assume that they misunderstood and it’s actually Trump beefing with MLK, not the other way around. Because I’d believe that in a heartbeat. Honestly, I’m totally surprised Trump hasn’t abolished or renamed MLK day, yet.

That seems unlikely. Monkey Boy, despite his flaws, isn’t nearly as unhinged as Fatman. So, if he is, indeed, Fatman, it indicates he’s finally on some decent meds.
