Well since we didn’t get one of these posts lasts week, the one before that I mentioned I started Yakuza 0 that weekend on my mission to play all of them in-order on PS4 (actually playing them on a PS5 though) and....I finished it on Wednesday evening, haha. One down, seven to go!

My physical copy of Hades arrived last Friday, so I’ve been chipping away at it for the past week. Fantastic game, and 100% deserves all the accolades that it has received (and should have received). I don’t like rogue-likes but Hades does so many things to fix the typical “git gud” issues that I’m thoroughly enjoying

For me, it was a month ago. :)

YYakuza 7 us excellent finished last year. Great game. Dont know if i would call it that dumt but each to they own

Death Stranding developed into such a fantastic experience that by the end I didn’t want to stop the grind of exploring, setting paths, then planning and making deliveries. It was almost a bummer to hit the last stretch full of bosses and such. I would take a much larger map with more outposts to connect to all with

Finally scored a PS5, so all my old games but shinier now

P5 Strikers! I’ve been really taking it slow so far in that game—still in the first jail, just tackling one section at a time, switching up the party to try everybody out, get exp, and helping them gain their mastery moves. I don’t think I have a full hang of the combat just yet but I do feel like I’m getting better

Yeah, as ObtuseAngle says, that “escaping robot” mechanic wasn’t in the original game, which is what made the fight way harder in Royale, but it’s good to know that the rest of the game remains the same, will have to see what’s going on with the 3rd semester

I dunno if it was just me, but I had the hardest fucking time against Haru’s dad in Royale, and I don’t remember that fight being as hard in vanilla P5, seriously, like, the robot minions he summons are freaking tough as nails, have a ton of HP, some of them have no weakness, and you get terribly debuffed every turn.

My goal this weekend is to finish the 3rd palace in Persona 5 Royal.  I played the original all the way through back when it first came out, but Royal so far feels surprisingly fresh.  It’s probably in large part because when I played the original I followed a day-by-day guide to max all confidants, while in this

You guys I finally finished Hollow Knight last weekend! My copy of Mario 3D World is coming tomorrow, but I still want to knock out Mario Galaxy [3D All-Stars] before I start it. I don’t really want to be playing two Mario games at once.

Well if there’s one thing the internet seems to love, it’s gatekeeping

I got Doom Eternal recently, but I want to finish my 5th run of Doom 2016 before that. First 3 were on PS4 for the plat, 4th on the Switch for the lulz, and 5th on the PC for dat framerate. I gotta say, I’m still fully entertained slaying demons even on this run.

Now that AC Valhalla is done, it’s time to get back to Yakuza: Like a Dragon. This is the first Yakuza game I’ve played, and I really enjoy it. I feel like not enough has been talked about how this game treats homelessness. I really love how these characters are seen, and the pretty real world things they have do to

Understand where you’re coming from, especially the Hollywood comparison. Didn’t consider this angle when these announcements dropped and I’m glad you wrote it out. It is nice that big AAA games still are often new IP, one only needs to compare to big-budget Hollywood to understand how exceptional that actually is in

“multiple updates in this 9 month black bar”

Oh Jesus Christ, they’re again gone back to doing the free DLC thing.

I completed Obra Dinn earlier this year and it was a wonderful experience.

Nintendo Switch when?

Another tip about the bow, if you are super close to an enemy and use the special you sort of shotgun them giving massive damage. Really usefull on bosses.
