Electric vehicles are not the future, electricity is still not coming from clean sources and if you are familiar with European cities, where people park on the street and have no access to a garage or private driveway, you’d understand that “plugging your vehicle” is still a handicap. I know there are folks here that

You can learn something today, just pay attention.

They're not anonymous

Why are you talking about things you don't know?

Is this your best argument?

You gave up already?

Maybe if you elaborate where I'm wrong instead of just shouting ...

Are you kidding? Do you think everyone has a flatbed tow their truck to the dealer? Fuck no many people have their car towed to their own mechanic or home.

The authorities can get access to your logs without a judgement and see you were speeding. I'm sure you argued your speeding tickets in court before.

That’s your car, it doesn’t have to go to a dealer. You lock it, no one can access the port. With Tesla they’ll read it (or write it) over the air.

Logs kept and recorded on other vehicles are limited, Tesla knows everything. They pushed the envelope of something that was already affecting our right to privacy inside our own car. You don't own the data, they do.

Not necessarily, I have first hand experience with the radar function of my cruise control not understanding my intention and slamming on the brakes. The computer didn’t understand what I was doing and activated the brakes. The logs would have shown obstacles-brakes.

You can't see the relation and won't look into it because you're here to defend Tesla blindfolded. They can't do any wrongdoing. Instead of having a mature conversation you're just spouting words.

You failed, go bother someone else.

What are you the town’s fool that has to make this announcement?

They have every “legal” right to prove it was you and not them. And even then because Tesla can both read and write the logs you can’t put 100% trust on a company.

Same with Tesla, the moment you bring the car in for service they have to access the data.
