Guns serve no purpose (outside of Greg’s very explicit list) in 2015 America

Ban all guns. Make them illegal to posses. Getting caught with one is an automatic jail sentence. This nonsense has gone on for too long. This amendment was authored by people who were okay with slavery. It does not, and should not, translate to 2015 America

I feel like it’s more because it’s ingrained in the American mindset that you need a car. And urban development is based around that idea too.

I don’t expect a village of 500 people to have a mass transit system. But something like LA is sorely lacking still. A network of busses and sparse rail lines I’d hardly call decent.

Nobody will vote for the needed taxes to run a public transit system.

Until gas is up $8/gal nationally, the US has it made and I really see no reason to complain gas approaches that much.

Generally the air marshal is called only if it’s already established someone is getting off the plane, so I took his meaning to be either you get off and you leave or you get off and you go to jail - her cooperation at that point was establishing what happens off the plane.

He didn’t “open with” that - he spoke to her very calmly, politely, and respectfully for nearly 30 seconds before she started freaking out - at which point he said that (rather calmly, I might add).
