Mine started out in rough shape (I spent $1100 combined on a ‘96 and ‘97, both white 4.0L Laredos which I then combined in to the best parts of each) and I’ve been fixing things as they pop up. It has a brand new trans in it so I’m hoping that means everything else will hold together well enough to get several more yea

Holy heck, 358k miles!

Nice.

I mean, plenty of other vehicles have been crash tested for low-volume imports so the point of the story isn’t too far off. As far as I’m aware, at least 6 vehicles need to be crashed. More if there are modifications that have to be made to pass the test.

959 was never crash tested. It came in under Show or Display which waives DOT requirements.

Emissions standards are waived after 21 years.

God I hope so. The drama would be utterly delicious. I can't wait.

Who's standard? Why should I care about what color they think my house should be?

Why not?

Some brief research showed that, unlike the coronavirus and Shakira’s hips, the numbers on HOA property value are questionable at best.

I have a hard time believing that HOAs actually cause increased property values outside of a loose correlation. I also don’t see how having a pink house down the street will decrease property values. Also, I would rather not have a private government dictate my house color so that I can pay more in taxes.

I hope that’s sarcasm ...

I got 84 months at 1.99% on my $18k car because $200 a month is fan friggin tastic and the interest really isn’t that bad.

GOD FUCKING DAMMIT

Ugh, fracking boomers overpricing all the cool stuff so we can’t afford it -_-

That right there is the most liberal use of the phrase “just rolled in to the shop” if I ever saw one ...

Now is the time for ancient projects to come back to life!

Did you ever finish that one-plane display speedometer? Still waiting to see that ...
