I just want to point out that almost all of the automatics my ZJ has had have been very nearly reliable, and all of the functioning electrical equipment has been as well.

Wow! That’s an ingenious solution to a problem that should have never existed in the first place. It would make sense if it were only on the convertibles. The reduction in chassis stiffness could lower the natural frequency to the “annoyingly noticeable” region so these would be tuned to counter that.

Interesting. Makes sense but I’ve yet to see an F40 in person. I don't recall seeing the same "texture under the surface" on an Enzo. It was a neat detail, of many, that I noticed on the F50 after gawking for a while.
