But fuel is free and I dont need range. I drive 30 miles a day (maybe...more like 20) so I only need a range of 50 miles to feel comfortable. I know that just me but if the fuel is free, why do I care that the car is working 15% harder when going 60mph?

Does it really need to be aerodynamic? If it is an EV, and EV run off electricity, and electricity is quite cheap or even free (solar panels on home, charge at home) then what does it matter if it isnt incredibly efficient?

You still dont get it. If you have a company the size of Walmart, their daily pay roll is in the millions of dollars. Daily payroll in the millions of dollars. The CEOs compensations isnt even a blip on the radar of the payroll amount.
My father had two of these...the 1.8T and the 3.2 with DSG. They are fun little drop tops but NOT drivers cars. The steering is heavy and very uncommunicative and the power just isnt really entertaining. It likes to push in the corners and isnt very stable at higher speeds.
They are there to get people to talk about it....and your talking about it. Surely not the “dumbest, most pointless invention of all time” as its an easy way to generate whispers for less than $2,000.
