Not picking wild mushrooms because you are not comfortable identifying them is not crazy. There are wild mushrooms that can kill. Best to learn with a local mushroom expert, go on a few picking outings with them. May seem a bit silly, but not getting sick or worse is important.

Yeah, morels can be crazy good. I’m done picking them from burns, though.

When i was a kid, some morels grew right outside our house (no recent fire or anything) my new at the time step dad got all excited and picked them so he could eat them.

Also, I’m fucking amazed that these people let cops into their house without a warrant, dug through their own trash to give them evidence, AND provided them with identification so they could check for warrants. The proper response would have been to tell Officer Drug Dog to fuck right off and to then call your lawyer.
