That is the usual reaction. At least my food allergies don’t cause anaphylaxis… just a sh*tty day. Stay safe out there, and don’t let them get your blood pressure up.

Funny, I rarely eat out, and breakfast at a restaurant only when I travel. I pretty much cook breakfast for the family through the week during the school year. Maybe my food allergies have something to do with it...

You can clean the hoses on a BIB set up. The installation guys know how. I worked in the same building they worked out of for a while. Cleanest fountain set up you could find, always taken apart properly for cleaning at end of day. Mmm, been a while since free soft drinks...

Did Elon consult with Mattel? They have been casting one piece underbodies for years.

It’s a tax, plain and simple. Hang whatever BS you want on it, once the government starts collecting the money, they never want to turn the spigot off. When they say “It’s for the environment, the ducks, think of the children…” at the end of the day, it’s a tax. And tax money was the reason to do it in the first place.

I am all for donation to Charity, but prefer mindful donations. How efficient, what types of help offered, are they kind, etc. There are a few websites that can help navigate. Bottom line, I don’t immediately donate money for a cause, I wait two days, check the Charity and alternatives, then donate, anonymously if

To tell you the story of the rental car, first I have to tell you another story. Back in my first year of college, I was dropped off without incident, the last time that would happen. For the next two years, eight out of nine trips had a breakdown the day before, the day of the trip, or the day after. This included a

Cooking is not the chore, clean up is. We cook at home 98% of the time and power plan dine out meals that accommodate my food allergies when on vacation. At most, one meal a day is cooked at the vacation house, its less energy expended on mundane tasks, and leaves more energy for vacation activities.

Best parking job was on the freeway one holiday on my way home. The line of cars in front of me rapidly stopped, and I had enough room to stop, but a car was rapidly coming up from behind, so I pulled off to the side of the road from the high speed lane, and parked slightly behind the car in front of me. Driver behind

Whelp. GF fried onions at Kroger about 3 bucks. Maybe after Lent...

Adding to list of things to do when I retire, as I will never have time to baby sit frying onions with current workload. (Frenches does not work for me, due to food allergies).

Nope. Different spice mix than a Cincinnati chili. And plenty of beans. Used to make huge batches of the stuff Saturday mornings as a kid, getting the store ready to open. In the winter, we sold so much chili, you would cook a grill full of patties just to keep up with demand, using the leftovers from the day wasn’t

Nope. I drink what I like. Of course, my issue is gluten, you can’t pay me enough to deal with the after effects of drinking a regular beer. Don’t care if it is Pliny, or from a Monastery that only sells a six pack a week. Life is too short, and if they want to laugh at the second, third and fourth glasses are water,

We buy a bag of it now and then for summer. Uses a bog standard consumer ice cream maker. Mmm.

Garofalo GF Pasta is the closest I get to regular pasta. We buy all kinds depending on price and pasta shapes, but that seems to work the best. On the bright side, our local Meijer started carrying the gluten free variety.

Sorry to see it go, but I haven’t been buying the Ketchup, and the Mayo is my backup choice, as I prefer Mayo without soybean oil. (I have a soy allergy, and the oil is supposed to be allergy free, with no soy protein. I still skip it, as it’s not worth the downside, if the oil gets screwed up.) I didn’t know it was

I already use schmaltz.... wifey has issues w sesame, so we skip the sesame oil. Bacon oil, well. I will have to give that a try...

The best pasta is Garofalo gf pasta for me. And Meijers caries it locally for me. No pasta over the weekend, but plenty of Asian dishes, tteobokki, homemade ramen, and okonomiyaki. Of course, burgers for dinner on Friday night... Looks like pasta for Tuesday.

Makes me glad anaphylactic shock is not a symptom of my food allergies. It would be nice if tamarin was labeled too for restaurants, as it affects me like my soy allergy. I don’t have an issue with sesame though... wheat allergy is bad enough at parts per million.

No real help to me, I have been all over map on spice levels over the years.... Not quite back to eating ghost peppers and habanero peppers raw. Someday, .... maybe.
