Don’t be fooled by press releases about tons of reduction in packaging weight. It is a reduction of the company cost on packaging material... I lost count of the internal bragging of cost reduction on materials cost for new packaging, at an old job....

Chocolate cake shake.  I wish I could try one from Portillo, but it probably hits all my food allergies....

I think I am on my own for cooking hotlines, since I have to do gluten free baking. When disaster strikes, I either try again, or research more for next time.

Meh. After the first crisis, you realize your just managing the chaos, and if it all works out, fine. Stayed late for three safe drillings, and a POS wiring job were the colorblind electrician killed two masonry bits drilling the floor of the office to run lines. (Office was in the former safe of the bank, door long

Took over a store as manager of a pizza place, and the ovens and hood were overdue for a clean. Shut down one night, had 15 min of help from the closing crew to get as much disassembled and soaking in degreaser as possible. Removed the fingers on the burners, the inspection windows, chain, everything, and sweated in

Throw is for show. We were not supposed to put it in the air, but would do so to show off... and if I am the manager showboating, I am not going to yell at anyone unless it was busy, and it was slowing down the line. Not even if they put both thumbs through and dropped it on the floor, just clean it up, wash up and

Freeze in muffin pan with cupcake wrapper. Round puck of a larger size, and easy cleanup.

Never thought about freezing the leftovers. I just made big batches of whatever to use the can up, or two recipes on back to back days.

Meh, I don’t eat filet mignon but once every couple of years. Could not eat this anyway, with my food allergies. Closer looking? Not yet. Rather eat vegetables, legumes and grains for what they are for now. Unfortunately, I now have a hankering to grill a chunk of spam...

Oyster sauce and curry powder, preferably S and B, for Singapore Noodles.

I guess I was ahead of the times. Jarlsberg has been a favorite for years, low in lactose too.

My go to test... is a gluten test. Few minutes, and I know if I can eat without getting sick. Once had a coworker  state they were picky about their food, and I said I was picky in parts per million...🤣

AAA and the insurance companies share some of the same problems. They are low ball contracts, and many without time / performance guarantee. So, that same Tow company will put your tow at the end of whatever list they have, and run the most profitable tows first. (Tow removal of vehicles to company lot (lot fees) and

I once had a Jiffy tech offer to change the transmission fluid on my car. It was a stick shift. My reply was knock yourself out, if you can find the fill tube. Came back sheepish, and said never mind... Never went back to any quick change place after that.

We own two toasters. One for Gluten Free and one for gluten, on opposite sides of the kitchen  island. No toaster oven...

Stars are irrelevant for me. I have food allergies, and I am pretty sure any given restaurant can mess up and cross contaminate, or miss an allergen ingredient. I don’t want 3 star service, I want not to feel sick after eating...

I just remembered Costco has a large double pack of salami.... Maybe.

Nah. Watch Sideways with a cheap bottle of Merlot with a couple of friends on a Spring day.

Well, money goes to either Coke or Pepsi depending on territory, just not all of it....

Survive is a low bar. Complete nutritional meals habe been tried before, and a prison nutraloaf comes close.... I wouldn't want to eat one, even if I didn't have food allergies. Enjoy the variety, and follow the broad stokes of good nutrition, and don't obsess on the one perfect meal.
