Don’t worry about it. You can rail against it, but consumers as a whole buy truckloads of bottled water, and the trend has not slowed down. Somebody is buying the stuff.
Eggs! Now I know what to do with the remaining hard boiled eggs from Easter that escaped getting deviled (those were gone in 60 seconds). I need to break out the brule torch and chase them down while cackling madly. Or maybe quietly prep them after the kids go to school and have a late breakfast.
Counterpoint. I am happy when I remember to use the chicken carcass for stock when picking up a rotisserie chicken. I would rather spend my effort on baking, and crack a carton of store bought chicken stock.... Yes homemade is better, just not as hassle free.
General rule, ask for one modification. More than that, pick another dish, or prepare to be shot down. I have to ask for modifications all the time, due to allergies. However, I have already looked at the menu before I hit the restaurant, know if they have an allergen menu, and have two choices in mind. I don’t want…
Its okay, for regular cupcakes I am always out of luck.... No gluten for me. Luckly, there are some decent gluten free box cake mixed out there.
Step 1: Use rice cooker.
Yep. I found the picture on the configuator after I posted, but I could not get the link to publish correctly for the picture. Then I ran out of time and had to go...
Does it come in brown?
Lactose free milk is available in whole, 2%, and skim in the stores around me. Ultra pasteurization does not eliminate lactose... Though the company may use lactase enzyme to eliminate lactose as well, should be on the label. If you find just lactose free, it may be cheaper.
Get the quietest one you can too. And go through all your stuff for what can’t go in the dishwasher, and see if there isn’t a dishwasher safe version, and slowly replace as money allows.
Depends, it ups your home cooking game. So far, my biggest achievement is making cheesecake lactose, gluten and soy free. (You can get lactose free butter, sour cream, and cream cheese, and gluten free flour blends work well). I just had to cut back on the sugar, the lactose free dairy is sweeter than the regular stuff.
If you have a dish were you want the vegetable flavor, but not the chunks of veggies, use a garlic press or a food processor to turn them to a fine paste. Saute as you would a normally to maximize the flavors, and start building your sauce. Alternately, reserve for marinade for meat or fish, adding spices, wine, or…
For garlic, you can buy a jar of chopped garlic or garlic paste. If your local store does not carry, check at a specialty asian grocer. They have the advantage of being pasteurized, so less chance of bacterial issues as it sits open in your fridge.
I wouldn’t want a Pizza from Pizza Hut... I have celiac disease (allergic to gluten), and intolerance to soy and lactose. So, pretty much a no for me.
Art is subjective. Is a hoarder’s completely filled house art? What about an exhibition of photos, along with piles of the items in an art gallery? And what something is worth is determined by what someone will pay for it. You post (or even mine) is worth $50? Only if some else will pay you for it.
If your investment goal is 20 years down the line, throwing a chunk of change into the market (index funds, etc.) every time the market drops can yield significant results. Not a replacement for regular investment, but in addition to your regular investment, with say, anything over your emergency saving fund needs at…
Bottle vs. Can? If you drinking out the container, glass wins hands down, it has to do with mouth feel and the different thermal properties of glass and aluminum. Put bottle and can into two glasses for a blind taste test, and you can’t tell the difference.
It is a good day if you are looking to buy long term. Buy low, sell high. Takes a strong stomach to do it though....
