We’ve got a similar utility style Polaris Ranger 6x6 that we use to haul camping/hunting gear in (and sometimes moose or caribou out); they’re definitely workhorses. The dump bed is great for moving dirt/gravel/firewood and they’ll climb stupid, stupid steep grades. The extra track length is also nice to prevent high

I’m impressed. I saw the cars yesterday in New York. VinFast seems to have poached a lot of French automotive talent, which makes sense for a company based in Vietnam. It reminds me of how Hyundai/Kia hired a lot of Volkswagen people. We know what happened after that.

Looks like a Ford Escape. Why didn’t they just bring over the European HRV?

Holy shit, that thing looks like it has a reasonable height belt line and actual damn windows that aren’t machine gun slits in a bunker.

Owner of multiple Apple products and the last thing I would buy from them is a fucking car—they’ll be like VW with Tesla’s attitude and weirdo cult apologists if their electronics are

There are already systems like this in Latin America. I saw this in Medellin, Colombia where they have one called the Metrocable. It is an enormous success (16 million annual ridership on 5 lines). It is particularly great for cities in mountainous terrain. Locals there love it.

We all have days like this

As someone who has purchased a car from a Jim Ellis dealership, I think they need to STFU when it comes to stating that dealerships “protect” the consumer.

Good thing it’s sarcasm.

I’m in Palm Beach County, I’m looking forward to this as well.  I’d love to hop on a train to Disney/Universal instead of driving for 2.5 hours.

Stop the flow of new vehicles and sell off much of what’s left, which happened at dealerships in 2021, and a mountain of past-tax deferments come due at once.

She should only buy SUVs, for all our benefit. Maybe you could get her into a Lamborghini Urus or a Porsche Cayenne?

the suspension has been modernized by replacing the IRS with a solid axle? that sounds backwards

The beauty of those line drawings is the attention given to including the gas filler cap. Side view mirrors, pfffft! But then again they weren’t common on the passenger side in those days.

Well anyone driving on that ice was doomed...

You probably should open the garage door when you let the Charger idle.

Anyone beside you ever read that book of yours?

The fake exhaust tips on the new Explorers are hilarious. If you look into the tip, you can see that it’s attached to the tailpipe, but there’s actually a turndown before the end of the tip.

It seems you fell asleep while finishing your comment. Totally understandable while looking at this.
