Re 3rd - Yep, e-bikes are a game changer for a lot of things that are annoying about modern life. NYC, in terms of density/traffic/public transportation is a real outlier in the US - and even there e-bikes are finding a niche (and will do more of that once the legal issues around NY’s antiquated laws are sorted).

According to the VW US website the yellow is supposed to be a release color for the GTI.  My wife currently has a tornado red ‘16 and wants a Mk 8 in yellow.  That’s assuming they can actually produce them...
