I suppose you’re correct that I’m “victim blaming” because, to me, the victim was not 100% innocent in this instance based on the circumstances. 1) a car just blew through an intersection at a high rate of speed; 2) she was the first in line at a red light, making field of vision in all directions much easier; 3) it

Yes, it’s reasonable, especially when they were chasing a car, which, presumably had went through the intersection a short while before at a high rate of speed. As the first car at the intersection, I sure would have looked to see if something else was coming.

Good point. If I see a car blowing through an intersection at that speed, I’m sure as shit looking to see if someone else is coming behind. But the video posted does not show the vehicle being pursued go through. I can’t imagine it was much before the cops did.

Milwaukee has a ban on any pursuit unless the police officer has probable cause that the person fleeing has committed a violent felony. This went into effect 6 years ago after a few (3 or 4) innocent people were killed during police pursuit in a 3 or 4 month period.

Or, as a parent, you teach your children that you look both ways when you are the first car at a red light and it turns green. That was one of the first things I learned from my dad when he was teaching me how to drive. You never know when some chucklehead is going to blow a red light (either intentionally or pushing

Especially in this case. It looks like the direction from which the “victim” was coming had JUST gotten the green light and was the first car. Which also means the direction the cop was traveling had JUST turned red. That doesn’t excuse the cop’s speed, but to me, the other driver had ample opportunity to see BOTH

yeah, but the SEC doesn’t have arresting power, so they can only go after people civilly.

apparently the SEC.

More importantly, what flavor dip will you be using to coat your ceiling-fan-sized bag of Fritos?

The primary critique will be the lack of swastika-related tattoos

Since it is impossible for you to throw a party before you were actually born, that shouldn’t be too hard.

From my experience, it entirely depends on what the suspected cause of death is and the family’s wishes. If the death is due to potential drug overdose, suspicious or is thought to be potentially criminal in nature, it can take longer due to the battery of tests needed to be run on various body fluids. But if it was

As in, “pass inspection” by giving his mechanic buddy a case of Michelob or by actually passing the PA inspection you detailed last week?

No, I’m not. The post asked for favorite spray, which I listed.

Thanks. I have a great support system in place, and they showed it yesterday.

I think (they’ve never explicitly said otherwise in my presence) they believe that Sandusky did “something” inappropriate. But they are adamant that Paterno and the University are 100% innocent of any/all things related to child abuse, despite all the evidence to the contrary. They think besmirching Paterno’s

Agreed. My wife’s cousin recently graduated from PSU and was there when the Sandusky deal went down. Her cousin and Aunt are extremely vocal Penn State apologists, and when we got together yesterday for a family Mother’s Day with my wife’s family, this was brought up again.

care to tell us what anniversary this is? 15?

Hell, I bet he’d be on the first plane out of College Station for an OC job.
