Snider has a great voice.

I probably care more about the sports games on this holiday than I do any other except New Years Day Bowl games and (when the days match up right) March Madness on St. Patrick’s Day. The Winter Classic in the NHL is an awesome thing, but it’s still looking to create a history and it has to compete with College

Hate?

Eh, I think a lot of people consider the Christmas slate of games to be the unofficial start of the “real” NBA season. Personally, I look forward to them.

Kyrie Irving is basically Jaden Smith with talent.

There is a town called North Pole in Alaska. It’s a little south of Fairbanks, decorated like Christmas year round, with candy cane street lights and giant Santa Claus statues, and has bad meth addiction and violent crime rates. Absolutely not joking.

I see your point, but that’s not actually what the word “holiday” means. I am not Jewish, but I still think of Hanukkah as a holiday, because it is, in fact, a holiday. It may not be a holiday I personally celebrate, but it’s for sure a holiday!

“There ain’t no North Pole, thus there ain’t no Christmas”

You need to look like at the brightside — Mark Sanchez, Matt McGloin and Geno Smith will have a place to be franchise starting quarterbacks.

I got crappy presents for my family this year because of the anthem protests.

Now playing

you think they won’t start with the nation anthem?

>>See, here’s the thing I don’t quite get about bringing the XFL back.<<

And - I keep harping on this - who the heck is going to want to broadcast or sponsor this? NFL sponsors can overlook, say, Ryan Shazier’s injury because a) it’s the freakin’ NFL and b) at least the league does lip service to trying to keep players from getting grievously injured to provide cover to broadcasters and

All I remember is the XFL promoting all the hits, but the actual product being basically the same level of violence, just less skilled. You can’t even pursue that angle any more anyway with CTE.

As a “normal” NFL fan, I’m watching less football than I did before. Monday night, Thursday night, Sunday games from 1pm to whenever the 8:30pm game ends. There’s just more content than I have time to care about. And that’s outside of issues like concussions or owners like Jerry Jones.

See, here’s the thing I don’t quite get about bringing the XFL back. People aren’t asking to see players absolutely destroy each other without worrying about penalties slowing down the game anymore. Wasn’t that the main draw of the XFL? Since the XFL failed, the focus has shifted from “Hell yeah that’s an awesome hit”

Hey, never doubt a man who can survive being incinerated in a limousine explosion.

Socialism in the United States is real, but only for the rich.
