Those are some gorgeous wheels. Props sir.

Exactly! This is why this Tesla, and pretty much any used Tesla over 36k miles, falls squarely in the crack pipe territory.

Blatantly passing the buck to the customer often results in the customer passing the cost onto the server; IE smaller tips. In the end, the business is screwing their own employees. The employees will catch onto this rather quickly and become disgruntled and leave for greener pastures.

Yup, accident solved...

I couldn’t disagree more with your proclamation that a 48 month loan is the maximum you should ever get. Most vehicles lose around 50% of their value in 3 years, but between 4-6 years is where you typically pay off a vehicle and still hold decent equity on your vehicle.

I knew a guy who paid $9k for a 6 year old car at 22% interest. Meanwhile I paid 1.9% interest on a $25k new car loan. My monthly payments were lower than his and I still paid more towards my loan and was paying it down drastically faster than him. Over the course of 2 years I worked with him, I paid down my loan $10k

That’s a really naive way of looking at finances. In fact it’s worse than saying people shouldn’t take out loans if they can’t afford them. Why? Because 90% of those cars on the road wouldn’t be on the roads. The car industry would collapse, followed by the housing market as people wouldn’t be able to get to work to

That’s a very silly way of paying off a loan. No matter the loan, the financial institution will provide a payoff amount dated 10 days in advance. This payoff includes compounded interest through that last date provided. If you pay that early and the loan is paid off in full, you will receive a letter stating your

Twice a year is definitely money wasted. I can feel when my car’s front end if out of alignment, but most drivers are too clueless to notice a big rig turning in front of them. But even for a novice, simply checking your tires’ wear pattern can tell you how the alignment is off.

When you add the cost of towing and replacing the valve stems (tire dismounting, new valve stem, tire mounting, balancing), the cost can get up to the couple hundred dollar range.

So... no outcry from the community for this upstanding citizen who was aspiring to do wonderful things that would have changed the world? It must have been foul play! Because nothing else in the world could have caused this pregnant perp, who clearly did not know she was knocked up for the third time, to die a

Well said! I was reading his horrid column and your exact words were stirring in my head. I grew up in a suburban, mostly white, community. I had an excellent primary education and a few school friends of different ethnicities, but I never saw them as different. They were simply my friends.

It’s sad how inept many home owners are. Wiring up a 220v charging station to your existing circuit breaker is quite easy; assuming you have at least two available 110v circuits. Many people are afraid of electricity, because they don't understand it. But it's not difficult to learn.

It requires a slightly different thinking when owning an EV. You don’t charge when it’s empty, you estimate your mileage usage for the following day vs your current battery charge/range.

I know, right?! My sister leased her Mercedes C350 for around $450 a month and it’s 1000x better than a POS ford fusion.

The real fun fact is knowing if you paid the same effective APR of 5.4% over 5 years, 2 years longer than the lease, you would own the car with equity! AND you would only pay $485 a month instead of the $493 quoted here. I can still get an APR of less than 3.5%, so that number would likely be closer to $463.62/month.

The average commuting distance is 16 miles in the US. The magic number found through research is 189 miles of range to minimize range anxiety for 90% of the population. That means charging once every 3 days for most people and that’s doable. As charging speed increases, in close to the time it takes for you to fill up

Calm yourself. It is being addressed in more States through increased vehicle registration for EVs. Also, charging stations are taxed (free Tesla superchargers aren’t free, Tesla foots the bill). Only charging stations that won’t be taxed are ones in personal garages and those in future years may have separate

To be competitive it will have to been around 200 miles. There was an article about the ideal minimum range for electric vehicles is around 189 miles per charge.

373 miles on a charge is just pipe dreams, for now. The cheapest version might have sub 200 miles, which would suffice for most urban car owners who make short trips.
