Incorrect again. The car was impounded because they arrested Ice-T. The police can’t leave a vehicle used in a commission of a crime on the side of the road. It was impounded and searched for more incriminating evidence.

Charging him with theft of service is excessive. A simple citation would have been more than adequate.

CA has temporary registration provided by the dealership before the car leaves the lot.

Those cameras are easily defeated. There are 1000 and 1 ways to defeat the camera traps. I suspect the officers were trying to justify the arrest after their initial probable cause (grand theft auto) failed to pan out rather than doing the right thing and admit a mistake for arresting for such a minor traffic

I believe you are correct. CA has temporary vehicle registration, not temporary plates. The thing you see is the dealer paper plate, essentially an advertisement.

Agreed. The officers went way overboard arresting Ice-T for a citable infraction. I’ve seen worse infractions that were cited and went on their way.

So you’re saying your early 90s truck with aa 4.3 v6 got combined 20+ and 24 highway? You’re kidding yourself and not fooling anyone here. Sorry...

I think the quoted peak torque is at 1300 or 1500 rpm. That means the turbo is fully spooled up and at peak boost at that rpm. What rpm does the NA moter get peak torque? 4000 rpm?

If you think the 2.7 turbo 4 will be “working it’s ass off”, you clearly don’t understand how turbocharging works. We’re not talking about an N/A motor here, it’s forced induction. An ICE motor is simply an air pump; the more air moved through the engine equals more power. You can get strong V6 power out of a 4

That’s not the issue really. The problem is the CID technology relies on the caller’s end to provide the number (through programming) , which then is relayed to the recipient and displays the CID number.

I concur. My wife and I traded in our 2012 GTI with the DSG for a 2018 Tiguan with the 8 spd auto. It is a much smoother and less jerky driveline. In stop and go traffic, the torque converter auto is so much better.

Europe has higher octane gasoline, somewhere in the 98 ron rating. While there is some difference with the American and European measurements for octane, 98 ron in Europe is roughly equal to 93 or 94 octane in the US. So VW tests on that and the cars love it; and advance the ignition timing & increase boost for more

I duct taped a gorilla in high school... Well a hairy kid got his ass cheeks taped together.

Someone played the ultimate paint prank. Switching waterbased paint in place of the oilbased paint.

Now playing

You’re mostly correct; torque does matter. The easiest way to view HP and Torque is:

I would have thought for sure that Raptor was totaled.

Ford hasn’t spent millions of dollars designing and tooling up for the new ranger (even though it is very similar to the international model) just to try to upsell customers to the F150.

You may also not have the whole picture of their finances. And if I were in your sister’s position, I doubt I would divulge that sensitive information even to close family members.

You're insane. Netflix has the best content out of any of the paid content providers. You're smoking some bad stuff if you think Netflix is going to suffer because your panties are bunched up.

The catch is, you are going to drop $4-5k (or more) on the TT almost immediately just to get it in proper working condition. The AWD system is notorious for failing at around the 10-15 year mark and if you do all the wrenching yourself, you are still looking at thousands of dollars in parts.
