Every factory farmed food has it's own problems (some more than others.) I agree. But still more sustainable than factory farmed meat.

I agree with you that it's better if people hunt or fish themselves. However, if everyone ate vegan it would be more not less sustainable, though. It takes much less land to grow food directly for people than to grow food for animals that then are fed to people.

The idea of only eating meat that you kill IMHO actually makes a lot of sense. However, eating based on hypothetical killing animals? Not so much. I don't eat meat because I wouldn't have the heart to kill anything .. also, I'd probably suck at it if I tried.

This goes along with the phenomenon of "diabulemia" - which is when a type I diabetic reduces insulin in order to lose weight from the diabetes. Of course, this lets the blood sugar rise and increases the likelihood of complications from the diabetes... not a good thing.

OMG they were so much better looking! I'm sure they were younger too, but...

My parents both grew up in Europe (Greece and Germany) and I was never hit. I think corporal punishment sucks no matter where your parents are from. It teaches the kid, by example, that this is the way to deal with problems.

One of the joys of modern life is not cooking. I will follow Gwyneth's diet when my personal chef arrives: otherwise? NO.

I don't know if this app is worth it for most. I mean, phone pics are not as good as an actual exam and the history is so important. Does the doc get to ask individualized questions? It doesn't sound like it. Sure, some rashes are easy but some, you got to find out the conditions during which the rash started full…

Don't get me wrong. I love my felines but I've always wondered if we'd have the same infatuation with cats if they were not perfectly human baby sized.

BMI is not a perfect measure of obesity but if your BMI is 40 you can be pretty certain that you are obese enough to be at risk for multiple medical problems. I think that for some, this sort of device may be the least of all evils.
