The notification LED has been one of the main reasons that I have stuck with my Nexus One.

@deven.phillips: Astrid does this too with the help of Locale or Tasker. Allows for the powerful options of those two apps to control when exactly those tasks show up.

@stone632: That's an impressive list of features but it is by no means inconceivable. I will be waiting as well, still excited for Gingerbread on my N1 though.

I would like to hear how the sped up version of Justin Beiber sounds when you are speeding with this app...

@djblois: I have been following the issues on the Android platform Google code project and it seems that they have implemented a lot of fixes and updates.

@Lemcott87: Linux actively caches everything it can in RAM. When more memory is needed, it will initiate the shutdown of the application gracefully or just instantly kill it. All of this is known behavior and is documented in the Android application lifecycle so if the application is not behaving appropriately it is

@aThingOrTwo: I did mean every OEM is effectively creating their own Distro. When you choose to separate the software distributor from the hardware distributor with a customizable platform this is a known side-effect. @atrus123: The box is only a thin linux OS running the linux Boxee build. Other than the remote, all of these problems plague the actual software which has been around for a few years. If you drop Boxee on a linux HTPC you will have all of the same issues.

@Ninety-9: This is a great point. I'm in the former category but I had gotten to the point where I couldn't take all the tweaking any longer. I lost the will, patience, and free time.

The review and most of the comments seem to forget the wife/girlfriend/non-techie factor. My father was able to operate his new Boxee Box like a pro when the PopBox and Popcorn Hour A-100 both had him having issues.

@Copernick: Doesn't decode DTS. I replaced my two A-100s with Boxee Boxes. They work flawlessly and the interface is 100x better.

I favor this. Release early, release often.
