Just curious, what percentage of New York city residents voted for Trump? I assumed people there hated him.

I would guess that there are more racist than just Trump voters.

When I was in high school we beat our big rival in a basketball game, then a few of us took some volleyball jerseys that were in the locker room we used and wore them to school the next day.

Can you imagine the strained metaphors they used in the meeting? “Like MLK we have a dream, a dream to make the playoffs. Like Obama you give us hope that we can do it. You’re a genius on the court like Einstein. You thrill the fans like MJ. And just like JFK you know how to take a shot.”

Supposedly team personal wore a shirt with this picture on it when Griffin came in for his meeting.

the offense ran through Paul, so I definitely expect them to struggle early. Maybe they solve it early and win 50? I have my doubts though.

I’m not shock by any means either. He did his job though, which was eat up innings and give our offense a chance to win games.

I always felt he was solid when he was with the Tigers, if not spectacular. If Ryan Raburn doesn’t dive for a ball he had no chance a catching Porcello would be a hero to us for winning game 163 though.

You know if she had a little meat on her bones it wouldn’t have done as much damage.

Well we’re on the subject, Double Stuff Oreoes all day. Stop the charade and just make them regular Oreoes now.

I’ve never heard of any of the players you mentioned.

It’s way too early in the morning to be so angry at these hypothetical arguments from hypothetical people.

I remember learning about it in school and never really gave it a second thought until the Tea Party rose to prominence, and then was rather quickly absorbed into the republican party.

This thread is fascinating to me, and this question is for everyone not just you... What about Duverger’s Law? That says we are pretty much destined to be a two party system? That the larger parties will absorb the smaller parties...

No, I’m just dumb.

No problem. Wish I had more to share but it’s been a while since I’ve seen him.

You guys are going to like him. I knew him through a college teammate of his, and even back then it seemed like he understood the game at a different level than me, and his teammate for that matter.

He played ball at Rochester College back in 2004. That’ll probably be the best way to find a picture of him.

I know it’s the worst comment ever, but I’m genuinely excited for the guy.
