Hrm, I must be watching a different Nintendo Direct feed. That would explain the Barry White and dimmed lights.

They had nothing to show at E3. A few games, and that was it. Amidst the competition, all of which were unveiling new hardware, anything they did would have been seen as weaksauce. So, instead, they brought the E3 experience to retail stores and let everyone have equal access to their Nintendo Direct announcements.

I thought them not having a massive press conference this year was a smart move on their end. Why put on the expense to stage a big show to show off titles for your console when everyone is going to be watching Sony and Microsoft for their big reveals this year?

Nintendo still made their announcements, and still got
