Don’t forget local offices and other down-ballot issues that benefited from increased turnout in certain demographics. The Dems had some major wins on the local level today that shouldn’t be discounted because longshots didn’t happen.

No one ever said this wasn’t going to be a long uphill, battle. The idea they would ever be able to turn the Senate was mostly a pipe-dream, although the push in Senate races was necessary to build that infrastructure for later. If they manage to wrestle control of the House back I will count that as a miracle. 

It doesn’t matter if it’s by 1 or 50 seats, taking the house is huge. It kills the GOP’s agenda until 2021 and makes real investigations into Trump possibly.

How would a Democratic candidate lose their bid for the House if he or she has more votes than the Republican candidate? There’s no Electoral College for Congress.
