I actually saw that EXACT 8C when I was in Florida a bit more than a year ago. It was being loaded onto a trailer from a country club in Boca. I snapped a photo of it, I’ll see if I still have it. I wonder if he bought it recently or if it’s not his at all?

Spyker C8s had the funkiest proportions. So cool.

73 HP from a 1.8L turbo diesel really isn’t that bad for 1990.

Gonna have to revoke your Jalop Card, Máté. We LOVE bad decisions.

We sure have come a long way. An EcoBoost 3-cylinder makes twice the horsepower (123hp and 148 lb-ft of torque).

Well, in Tavarish’s defense… he’s an idiot.

Best looking generation of Merc SL, huh?

Interestingly I’m considering an SL600 in a few years as a daily driver so the Boxster Spyder will only be used for funsies and track days. However, it’s not an R230 with an M275 like this, but an R129 with the M120.

Just saw one of these sitting on the used lot at our local VW dealer. ABC suspension collapsed, ABS inop, and other misc leaks per the window sticker, and they wanted $15000 for it. No thanks.

Exactly. When a few buddies and I help push a car out of deep snow, we’re not pushing the full 3500 lbs.

Eh, the truck is going to be fine

You are thinking of the I’ll fated Cart race at Texas in 2001. They were turning laps in the 235 region, but it was the g forces more so than the top speed causing the drivers difficulties. That is the closest we have gotten to an example where the cars exceeded the performance of the human body.

If they used chips to limit speed, VW would start a team and clean up

Because chips don't work with carburettors.

The fact that literal bricks were approaching speeds of IndyCars during that period is both fascinating and frightening.

I was in Dodge’s pit area for this, Awesome Bill’s. When it happened, the normal cacophony of people, sounds, settled in an instant; the racing didn’t matter anymore. Immediately everyone was talking about how serious it was, but no one knew. Not yet.

So, two important things I didn’t mention:

1. Check to make sure all of your lights are working.
2. Check your car for recalls (You can check by typing in your VIN here: https://vinrcl.safercar.gov/vin/)

Free double drinks to all immediately after boarding. No one will complain about anything and greatly enjoy the flight. The end.

How do you possibly vote no on this!?
