I had this same exact issue with my 2015 TDI Sportwagen. I went through hell and back and ended up driving 120 miles to go get mine. I have it now but 4 dealers, 4 months, and way too many promises with no knowledge later I finally got what I wanted. The process was a horror.

Now owning a MK7 I completely understand. I bought the wagon though :)
