1UZ Miata is supposed to be the CHEAP swap. Why is this car more expensive than the equivalent LS1 Miata? I can't figure that out.

It is only a very expensive hobby if you make it one. Unfortunately, I've made it one lol, however there is a way to get involved in drifting for very little, far less than any traditional racing. If you're looking to explore drifting cheaply, it is definitely worthwhile.
