Could you guys include a section of what you'd get in the class and/or Car and Driver-style ranking of the segment?

Apples to oranges, but I get your point. If you're spending that much on a car, it had better have rear seat sauna.
Umm... a GTI?
You’re preaching to the choir, Doug. Why would you spend all that extra money to get what is, in essence, the same car? It has the same sheet metal, same chassis, and the same interior. Now, I could see spending extra for all wheel drive and bigger engine, just for the sake of trashing ILXs at stop lights (insert…
Yes he did. I even have a model of it at my house.
Because... well, just look at it!
I'll ask what everyone is thinking: why is the PT, like, not first?
Is a Hardigree behind this plot to get Big Bird a new job?
Precisely. In my area, there are little to no backroads, and the quickest turns I would take would be less than 15 mph at intersections.
Incorrect. The new F-150 is actually just as, if not more, comfortable and refined as a 5-series. The only downside is economy. I, for one, would daily drive the life out of a full size truck.
Is your name Richard Hammond?
I would prefer a better driving vehicles, but I’m tall so about 90% of the vehicles I fit in are full size SUVs or trucks. The Cooper is one of the few “cars” I fit in comfortably.
I was just using the 5 as an example. In the class, I'd get an A6, but in real life, for $60k I would legitimately get that or a Suburban.
According to most reviews, you can’t exactly hurl the new 5-series down a canyon either...
Why would you get the German sedan though? Once again, it's not going to be as powerful, it'll have fewer features, and if I'm dropping 60 grand on a new vehicle it had better be insanely useful.
I understand that. But if I was looking at cars in that price range, I'd go for a truck vs. a luxury car.
None of the things you just mentioned have anything to do with practicality. Actually, 2 of them are incorrect!
