The farm arc was very well done. You are not alone.

Damn. For about five minutes Brooke Adams was REALLY hot!!
Plot holes a self-driving pizza van would drive through, and a dull insurance investigator we are required to follow through weakly related clues: a dentist photographing ass accidentally triggers his flash which is seen by the cute woman in the yellow coat the violinist eyed that she eyed back just before he got…
Zack writes, “The simplicity does limit the episode’s impact, and if you aren’t in the mood for “The Terminator without time travel or romance and oh the ending is also a bummer,” this probably won’t appeal. But there’s something satisfying in seeing something this direct and well-built succeed on its own terms.”
Jaysus, this was an awful episode, and an example of Zack’s imagining an episode far better than the one that actually aired. We’re really supposed to think two utterly shallow people (given the evidence presented—do they ever actually talk about anything, even one thing, remotely interesting?) are meant for each…
Yeah, no one ever objects when it’s just white people hooking up on teevee.
Nonsense, and here’s why: Point to a single episode where what you assert is true. Just give the time and ep number, and we’re good.
“Hate.” Pfft.
There were no signs. It’s a plot affair, that’s all.
Yep. Gurira is stunning.
Didn’t she have a hand in jumpstarting their relationship, though?
Yeah, it’s almost as if the writers really, really suck at this.

A natural progession of... what? There were no lingering glances. No hints of jealousy. No remotely recognizable flirtation. No longing looks when the other turned away. No standing a little too close. No making excuses to be with the other.
Definitely. But that’s largely forbidden by our feminist overlords.
Punching men! HAHAHAHHAHHAHA!!! Hilarious!!
I stick with it because it’s the most interesting setting in teevee right now, but it really is the worst written show, and I can’t think of anything like a close second. It’s amazing that it’s the most-watched show in the country. It’s just amazingly bad much of the time.
It’s amazing how much worse the writing is now than it was in Season Two, which was full of subtleties, interesting side plots, and bears little resemblance to how it’s remembered.
No, I just thought about how badly the episode was directed, such that a truck zipping around a field would magically teleport immediately adjacent a pond so that moron writers could have their stupid characters do more stupid things to take me out of the episode.
No, it doesn’t. And a smart show sits down before season one and calculates, What characteristics do our zombies need to be just tough enough to keep things interesting, so our characters don’t have to constantly do stupid shit to generate “interest”?
